A diversity, equity and inclusion journey begins with one Tenets workshop.
Our workshops are designed for cross-functional teams of staff from organizations/agencies working with infants, children and families. Each workshop engages participants in a collaborative, reflective journey in order to help them change their practice to be more diverse, equitable and inclusive.

Our workshops are led by facilitators that have at least 15 years of experience in professional training and capacity building. Each facilitator has a deep understanding of the philosophy and practice of the Tenets. Facilitators are expert guides in this process.
Our Tenets Engagements

Virtual Introduction to the Tenets: This one-hour session is primarily geared towards an agency’s leadership and is designed to summarize the purpose and value of the Tenets. Facilitators also discuss their philosophy and approach to providing half-day and full-day workshops for cohorts of professionals.
Virtual Half-Day Tenets Workshop: The Virtual Half-Day Tenets Workshop is a four-hour session that introduces participants to the Diversity-Informed Tenets for Work with Infants, Children and Families (Tenets) through reflective exercises. The content focuses on Tenet #1 (Self-Awareness Leads to Better Services for Families), a selection of our Core Concepts, and bringing the Tenets back to participants’ spheres of work/life.
The workshop is facilitated by two trained Tenets Workshop Facilitators that have at least 15 years of experience in equity- and diversity-informed training, capacity-building, and clinical practice within the early childhood field.
Virtual “Part 1 and 2” Tenets Workshop (Equivalent to a Full-Day Tenets Workshop): The Virtual “Part 1 and 2” Tenets Workshop is a total of eight contact hours that is typically completed through two half-day (i.e. four-hour) sessions. This workshop offers an overview of the Diversity-Informed Tenets for work with Infants, Children and Families and allows participants to link the Tenets to their spheres of practice. The workshop leads participants through reflective exercises to deepen self-awareness and consider how their work can be revised with the integration of the Tenets. Participants will also identify personal and organizational leverage points and develop action plans for furthering diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
This workshop is facilitated by two trained Tenets Workshop Facilitators that have at least 15 years of experience in equity- and diversity-informed training, capacity-building, and clinical practice within the early childhood field.

Workshop cost includes planning for the workshop, facilitating the workshop and workshop debrief. Workshop prices do not include facilitators’ travel costs.
